A single-player psychological horror RPG · PC

Most games let you choose what kind
of hero you want to be.

HUSK asks what kind
of person you are.

01

The game

Your goal is simple.

Lead yourself—and whoever you choose—to safety.

Build relationships with characters who think for themselves, capture creatures to help you survive an unforgiving wilderness, and decide how you'll face what comes next.

Cognitive characters

We design their minds.
We never told them what to say.

Treat them as you would someone in real life. Every connection has to start somewhere.

They form opinions, carry resentment, change their minds and make their own choices.

Your way through

No scripted path.
No morality meter.

Protect those around you.

Use them.

Manipulate them.

Leave them behind.

Or risk everything to save them.

You’re broken.
You’re bloody.
You’re exhausted.

You’ve been dragged
through emotional mud.

And you still won’t give up.

04

Known entities

The monsters create danger.
The people create drama.
Your decisions create meaning.

The hardest choices are rarely between right and wrong.

They’re found in everything that lies between.

From the team

Why we're making HUSK.

Most survival games ask whether you can endure. We want HUSK to ask what enduring does to you.

Every creature, villager, system and stretch of wilderness exists to place the player under human pressure—not to label their choices good or evil, but to let the emotional consequences persist. Relationships take time to build and moments to lose. People are taken from you before you're ready. The world does not care.

We are making HUSK because games can do more than show us difficult decisions. They can make us participate in them, live beside what follows, and perhaps discover something uncomfortable—and honest—about ourselves.

In active development

HUSK is already taking shape.

We have successfully demonstrated key foundations for persistent character memory and consequences—allowing experiences to influence what characters remember, how their relationships develop, and how they respond later.

We are now building the gameplay, mechanics, environments, and world systems around that foundation.
